what's up with these east-coast cats?

I have become aware of the fact that alot of East Coast kids, specifically those from Long Island and Jersey are extremely arrogant, unfriendly deuchebags and bitches.

I don't hate on people, everyone has the right to live their life however they please, but I don't understand why putting someone else down is neccessary. It's demoralizing and immature.

I am a personable dude, I don't really start shit cause I feel like it is useless, and I am sorry to all those that are from the East Coast and reasonably good hearted.

But we all know those cats that think because they got some cash flow and a new Audi that they are la crem de la crem.


I bring this up, cause tonight as I walk into the bar to start/finish my evening, I realize the East Coasters are out in full force, and more vicious than usual.

Some girl pushes me as she is trying to move her way through the crowd and towards the bar. I unable to adjust quickly enough push up against this one cat, and next think I know, I got this ugly mug in my face talking about how he is going to beat my ass (come on man, they don't call me BigB for no reason......be reasonable)

It's Saturday night in a college town, our B-Ball squad just pulled out a big win over a huge rival and people are going to be crunk'd and ready to go out. So of course it will be crowded, this isn't fucking BYU, let it fly.


I mean, you look at these dudes wrong, they are ready to fight. You accidently take their "spot" at the bar, they wanna beat your ass. They all have crews that are 15 deep and they "aint afraid of nobody". I mean, is this a joke? (I didn't know that Biggy Smalls was white) I Honestly don't know why they all have something to prove...it's ridiculous!

The girls are even worse. Since when has it been cool for a 22 year old senior to whine and cry about getting their way? Aren't we supposed to be adults? You still can't take no for an answer? You seriously think that Mommy and Daddy want to support you forever?

It's ironic how they say to keep it real, yet, they are the furthest thing from it.....

Unfortunately, I am part of this culture up here and I agree exactly with what you said man. The bar culture is the most popular in New Jersey, but it is also the worst due to the lack of class or ethics among these scrubs. Like you said, they've got like 10 of their "homeboys" backing his ass whenever he decides to pull a punk move, and most of them don't stand a chance when by themselves. As for the girls, they think being a "Jersey girl" is something to be proud of and they flaunt it, it's more like they need to be slapped around to knock that attitude out of them. One night, I came to the point where some guy complained that I took his bar stool (I was on it for 30 mins. already) I just went after him and he didn't know what to do with himself. I thank the power of losing by a half point (west virginia/notre dame) for that outburst.

Yea, I agree. When I was in college I went to a bar filled with my fellow students. After an hour or two into it, people started getting drunk and wanted to fight everything and everyone in sight. After a few more of those incidents, I stopped going to a college hang out bar.

On a side note...What's up with you white people and wanting to fight people when you are drunk? I only ask cuz all the bar fights I've seen were all white on white beat downs. One time my friends and I took bets on who would win the fight...Funniest night of my life.

Those are the Italians that you are running into. I grew up in a town that was 40% Italians. I know how they act. There aren't as many Italians on the west coast, so you don't run into this attitude as much.

2nd generation latinos are pretty similar when it comes to being the tough guy with 10 friends standing right there. The 1st generations are usually very nice people but unfortunately don't have the resources and time to devote to their children.
